KIMM
(Cristóbal Israel Méndez Montañez)
He is a Mexican artist, inventor, researcher, observer, gatherer and critic of the society of his time. On his creations he reflects a wide study of the nature and men, its relation with the geometry, and the language. KIMM’s art is a tool, one that allows him to know the world. In his career he has 45 individual and collective exhibitions that built up his trajectory in the last 10 years. Selected in 2018 for the XII Concurso Nacional de Artes Visuales (XII National Visual Arts Contest, Graphic arts section) getting an honorary mention for his work “Estudio del Quijote y los molinos” (Study of the Quijote and the windmills). Actually he is professor at Universidad de las Artes (University of the Arts) and part of the artist in charge of Taller Nacional de Gráfica (National Printed Arts Atelier).
